Neurotic about toxins in products? Come in please:

OK, so I'm struggling to find baby bath stuff, and sunscreen, that doesn't have EITHER petrochemical-based effective ingredients OR lavendar oil. Does anyone have recommendations? Basically the entire line of each of ErbaViva and VedaBABY has lavendar essential oil, and those are the two organic lines that I know the most about.

I read the reports about lavendar being an estrogen synthetic linked to gynocomastia in prepubescent boys, and back when I was struggling to get PG the REs in my area were concerned enough about it to tell patients to limit their use of products containing lavendar. So now that I have DS, I'm very hesitant to use it, but it's like I have to choose between the petrochemical carcinogins and the all-natural hormone synthetics! So annoying!

    i would recommend California Baby products. I think the super sensitive soap and lotion are free of lavender. I use it on DD and myself daily.?

    Don't you sometimes wish you hadn't heard these things?  I  drive myself crazy avoiding sodium benzoate, aspartame, BHT, DMDM Hydantoin, parabens, etc.  Now that I'm staying home with ds, money is tighter and I often long for my college days when I just bought what was cheap...or just the brand I wanted!
