Summer Sleeping ?

DD sleeps in a sleeper and fleece sleepsack now.  This summer I suppose she'll sleep in a onesie instead of the sleeper, but what else?

Are you planning to use a lightweight sack, a light blanket, or just the onesie with no cover?  We'll have the AC on, but our 2nd floor tends to be warm upstairs. THX!

We've had some hot days here in NY already. One night we had him in a light onsie with a light cotton sleepsack, the next night just his cotton onsie. I bought a few sets of pjs with short sleeves and no feet for him for the summer. He doesn't really like blankets.

  • I got DS the jersey material sleepsack from halo.  They have ones with feet and ones that are regular sacks.  They seem really nice for the summer.  Although I think we're just going to have to wait and see with him because he's always been a very sweaty baby.

  • We have a couple of sets of summer pj's.  Some with feet, some long sleeved, and some short sleeved and shorts.  We use a light weight blanket (afghan) that he likes.
  • Our A/C is usually set to Antarctica,  so the kids wear the "winter" PJs in the summer.  There are a few nights of unbearable hot in April and May, but in July and August it's a frosty 62!
  • We have A/C we try and keep it the same temp. partly because DD is a sweaty baby.

If you don't have A/C, I'd do a short sleeve onesies and a light blanket (or no blanket if it's really hot)

  • We have a light cotton sleep sack and we'll put her in a short sleeve onsise or a long sleeve one depending on how cool it is with the AC on.  We use blankets, too, but not if it's too warm.
