Re: Hey, Texas! I'm here.

  • Well, I just realized that you may be headed to work.  I would give you my email addy but I'm sure you're dying to make your rant publicly Wink.  I'll check in periodically.

Have a good one and I'm loving the siggy pic.  Hopefully, it means a big A$$ BFP for you.  Big Smile

By the way, what' so creepy about it?  Did you not read my post?  I was helping Warren (kinda pisses me off that she didn't say that)  post her siggy pic, and because my life does not consist of only bumping I did not realize I had kept it there.

    Later.

i'm not dying to do my rant publicly.  i would be happy to do it privately, if you prefer.  but since this is a public message board and you chose to make your comments to thewarrens publicly i thought i would follow your lead.

it's getting kind of old now because it's been days but i guess i should say my final peace about it.  it's almost like beating a dead horse at this point.  you started your original post by saying "don't take this the wrong way...." and then you dis her religion.  you say "it seems like catholics don't know what they believe in", that's quite a bold, general statement.  does that not apply to hindu believers and christians and jews and LDS?  then you say that you find her post odd...but your response doens't seem odd?

second post from yesterday: you believe that your questions are valid, really?  and then you got all weird (as if that's possible) and said that "I am a Hindu who happens to be best friends with a Protestant and Catholic.  From what the Protestant shares with me about Christianity it just seems like Catholics claim to believe in Jesus but don't rely on him."  wtf?  why would you believe what a protestant says about catholicism when you could just ask your catholic best friend?    t

hat could easily be a stereotype.  and lets not start with the old line, i don't hate so and so my best friend is (insert whatever minority or religious affiliation here).   anywho i'm not catholic or religious at all, but what's wrong is wrong.  i'm done with this issue.  if you want to respond you can, but i got off my chest what i really wanted to say.

  • I mentioned my protestant friend b/c I believe a Christian is a Christian.  Aren't they defined as Chrsitians because they believe in Jesus?  I find it odd when someone says they are Christians (which Catholics are) and then pray to someone other than Jesus.

I agree, what's wrong is wrong, and if she was offended by my words, I take full responsibility.

I really don't have much more to say about the topic, either.  When no one responded to my post, I assumed no one had much to share.  It seems like Ibis was the only who knew what I was talking about.  You said you wanted to put me in my place, and I was interested in reading what you had to say.  I respect and accept all that you've said.

Have a good one and good luck with the TTC.
