Does anyone on here have a cleaning lady/maid?

Just curious. If you do, how much are you paying them each week/bi weekly? And are you home while they are there? I was looking into it, but not sure yet. TIA!

We have a service that comes once/month for almost 5 years now. I only have them once/month because we don't really need them more than that. When DD gets older, we may increase it. Right now,we pay $116/month. I chose to use the service because they are bonded and insured as well as do background checks on all employees. Sometimes I am home when they are here, I would say about 50% of the time. Otherwise, they come through our garage using the door code. Most of the time, I have the same girl that comes with another 1-2 people. They are here for about 3 hours.

Our lady comes in every other week -- she charges $25 an hour, so for our place it's about $85 (takes her about 3.25 hours). Istayed at home with her the first three times she came, then once I decided I could trust her I stopped working it into my schedule.

i have one every other week. we pay her $85. i think she is there for 4 hours or so. has worked for my aunt for years so she has a key.

Ours comes in every other week and we pay her $125. She's here for about 4 hours and she does all our laundry as well which is a plus. It's well worth the money. Pre-baby I was at work while she was here, but now I'm home while she's here. I usually pop out for a couple hours though. If you can afford it a cleaning lady, I definitely recommend it.

LOL! With two kids and work and soccer, swimming lessons and all that which comes with being a mom, my house is a mess sometimes! I just need a good once a month scrubbing. Wink
