I entered a radio contest for Miss Mom to Be 2009. Out of 7500 entrants I made it to the top six and am a finalist! They asked that we send in a picture of our decorated belly to put up on their website and I also answered a few questions which I think they will also post later on. Here is the website if you're interested in voting for me later when they post more info. You can't actually vote right now. https://mattandramona.1079thelink.com/page.cfm;jsessionid=a63038135ea69c6b0d6025446a7d221f1059?ID=271 I am the one in the pink shirt with the green background and if you click on me, my name is Shannon D.
Anyway....I thought my decorated belly was clever and wanted to share! I made sure that DH covered up all of my stretchmarks with the paint! ![]()
Re: My twin belly painting! PIP
so cute! did you post on the multiples board?
your belly looks great!
I did just now.
And thanks for the compliment. I'm always feeling large so you made my day. How are you doing by the way? We are so close to the same due date. Feeling well?
Starting to feel really uncomfortable- but still able to do some stuff during the day... thankfully DS is in daycare all day b/c I don't know how i'd do it if he was home -are you hom with your DD?
Compared to my last pregnancy where i had kidney stones, stents in my kidneys, and PTL and BP issues starting at 30w - this has been a breeze so far- so i can't even complain about the aches/pains... esp since i'm carrying 2 this time!
Do you have a date scheduled? Mine is June 15th- i'm having a c/s this time. It would be awesome to make it to my c/s date - but i know it might happen before that.... just hoping it's not for a few more weeks!
Your belly is so stinkin' cute!
Yes, I'm at home all day with DD. I would LOVE a break every now and then though but its just not possible. I can't really afford to have her in day care. I just do what needs to be done because it needs to be done no matter how I'm feeling. Your son is also older than my DD so if he was home with you that would be even more difficult since I'm sure he weighs more and picking him up would be a challenge.
Yeah, its weird. This pregnancy has been better for me also than my first even though I have horrific back pain this time around. My lower left side always pops and I can just feel a knot back there.
I don't have a c-section date yet. Every time they see me I guess they are just hoping I'll make to another week. If I do make it a little further along, I'm sure they'll schedule my c-section then when it looks like I'm more likely to make it to that date.
Good luck with everything! I read your posts often. It'll be interesting to see what we go through with toddlers AND twins!
DS weighs 33-34lbs - so yeah- it's really hard to pick him up! I try not to if I don't have to... he's getting really good at giong down the stairs, which was the one time I always carried him- so that is good.
I'm working on teaching him to climb into his car seat, too - since he'll need to do that when it's in the 3rd row of the minivan... it's going to be FUN trying to get 3 kids in car seats at once! lol
while DS is heavier- i think a younger child would be harder- b/c they don't understand as much and can't do as much on their own --- so I feel for you!!
We'll be on this fun ride together when they are all here! Soon- yikes!
