If you live in an area where vaccines are NOT required if you have a major moral or religious objection...are the schools able to disclose if there is an unvaccinated child in the class to parents if asked? I am not asking which kid, but that there ARE in fact so many kids in the class unvaccinated. Just curious, thanks.
Re: Teachers or moms with kids in school
Good question. ?I have no idea. ?I think this is just now picking up steam as those kids born at the time of "vaccines cause autism" are now getting to be school-aged.
Is a vaccinated child at risk if around unvaccinated kids??
Vaccines don't work 100% of the time. Also, those with religious objections tend to be "around" those iwth the same objections which makes the pool of possibilities larger. So the unvaccinated child is MORE likely to get whichever disease you are speaking about.
I thought the point of being vaccinated was to help protect your kid if they're exposed to an illness.
So in the same way you don't know if the kids at the local playground are vaccinated.

This.
Regardless, I don't want to start a debate, just looking to see if they are able to disclose the information.
I teach and have a non-vaccinated student this year. The school nurse made me aware of it at the beginning of the year, but anything health related like vaccines, meds, allergies, etc is considered confidential, so I can't tell any other parents, even if they ask.
This whole idea totally bothers me....the only reason those kids can stay healthy without shots is because everybody else has theirs!
