i am no stranger to injections and they never hurt.  i started bravelle on thursday night, and every time i do an injection, it burns.  the pain is only for a few seconds, but damn, it hurts.  i'm only on day 3 of stims, so i have quite a few more shots to do.  ouch!!!!

    Bravelle does burn.  Especially when mixed with Menopur.  :(

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    Great!! I am going to be taking it soon. I heard that is burns..are you taking Menopur as well? I have to do 2 bravelle and 1 menopur.

    no menopur...just 75 units of bravelle.  i'm on the short bus with the bravelle...it takes me at least 10 minutes to get the needle/syringe ready.  hee hee.

    MH swears that using the Q-Cap makes drawing it up so much easier.  I wouldn't know since I don't go near the meds or needles with a ten foot pole.

    um, i'm using the q-cap!!  i think i'm so paranoid about air bubbles, that it takes me forever.

    I'll never forget, the first time MH had to draw up my Bravelle, he had to call my mom (who is a nurse) and have her walk through it on the phone.  He was tripping out about the air bubbles too, and I think it took him 45 minutes to get it drawn up.

    i love your dh!  hee hee.  he and i must have been separated at birth. 

    i made dh do the first mix up and i watched intently.  the next time, i had the diagrams all out and it still took me 10 minutes.

    It does burn, but it only lasts a minute or so and it isn't excruciating.  Try not to worry about it.

    i agree with kimarino...it does burn, i won't lie, but it does only last a few seconds, and within minutes, it doesn't even feel like you gave yourself an injection.  the good news is that you don't have to do it forever ; - )

    Ugh, yeah, I hate the sting of menopur though it seems sometimes it's worse than others. I hope you have less burning!
