WDYT re: pee sticks.

Right around when I POAS dh & I had a lot of company over, and I remember dh cleaning the bathroom before the company came over. He tossed the pee sticks somewhere to clean up, and about a week ago I found them. (In a really random place too).

So I threw them out.

Then one of my friends was like "Wait- is everything ok? Why would you throw them out? That's a big part of your pregnancy..." Blah blah blah.

Am I totally unsentimental or something? It's a stick with my PEE on it. And quite frankly they didn't look/smell pleasant and all but one were digitals that didn't even say "pregnant" anymore.

Thoughts?

I threw all mine away. Like you said, they lost the "pregnant" on the digital, and I only had one regular test that was very, very faint after about a week or so. Some people took pictures with theirs, which I thought was really cute... but keeping them seemed a little much. That's old pee that you're keeping. Kinda gross, IMHO.

I'm with you.

Why the hell would anyone keep old pee laying around in their house? Are they going to show it to guests when they host dinner parties? Perhaps cut the pee part out and glue it in a scrapbook?

I took pictures, but threw the actual sticks away. Kind of gross to save them, IMO

Yeah, they have old pee on them but oh well. My mom still has all of our baby teeth and umbilical cord stumps, so I figure the sticks are just the first in a long line of things to come lol

I took pictures and threw the rest out. I understand some people who want to keep them as memories but a picture lasts just as long.

Eww...why would you keep a stick with your pee on it? I didn't even know that people did that. I did take a picture of it...but keeping it is too much for me.

I agree I think keeping them is gross, I threw mine out. I might take another one so I can take a picture and use it as my facebook profile picture when we finally put it on facebook that we are expecting tomorrow.

Why you would feel the need to keep old pee, even if it did tell you that you were pregnant is just something I don't understand.

I threw mine away. But DH did take a pic of it first. I wish I had though to have him take one of me with it! Oh well. I think its gross to keep anything like that around, its like a biohazard lol.

I threw mine away...you're totally not unsentimental. The idea of holding onto a stick you've peed on for years is quite gross to me...And you're right, the part that says your pregnant disappears after a while so now all you have to scrapbook is a blank pee stick.

I'm an incredibly sentimental person, and I threw away my pee sticks without a second thought. I took a photo--keeping pee sticks is *disgusting*.
