Babies: 0 - 3 Months

I was shocked when I found out I was pregnant with dd

and we were somewhat trying (not preventing)

But super excited

It's perfectly normal to be shocked when finding out your pregnant.. Its a life changing moment just saying

Re: I was shocked when I found out I was pregnant with dd

  • As much as I want another, I would freak my shiit if I got a BFP anytime soon.  When you're not ready, you're not ready.  BUT I didn't think I was ready for DD b/c she was a HUGE suprise, but that changed fast and I couldn't have been happier...

  • I'm terrified of getting pg again so fast even though i'm on the mini pill and we've only had sex once since DS was born. It's not very likely at all but I swear I might just POAS since I have no periods yet due to BF'ing.

I hate not having periods only for that reason.

I don't understand how you can be "shocked" if you were having sex and not using BC.  How is this shocking?  Um, you had sex and didn't do anything to prevent pregnancy.  You do know how babies are made right?

would you be shocked if you got into a car accident because its possible every day you drive but its still a surprise.  get over the word "shock".  i was shocked it happened so quick.  i mean i spent 27 years trying NOT to get pregnant, and then the one time i want to get pregnant, it works, yes its still a SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!

    OMG I SAID SHOCK

We were shocked.  After trying for 2 and a half years, we were one medicated cycle away from turning to IVF.  By that point we weren't too optimistic.

Shocked is not a bad feeling, if this is what your thinking.. It is completely normal to be surprised, nervous, anxious....Like I said earlier, it was a life changing moment, and like a pp said, I went 26 years with a combination of abstinence or birth control, and one and a half of trying.. So when I got the result that said "Surprise, in 9 months, you will have a baby!!", Yea I was a a little surprised.

Explain to us how you felt when you first learned you were pregnant? Not one bit of excitement or surpised?
