After seeing the post earlier...it got me to wondering. We still co-sleep, but are planning on moving him to his crib soon. We will see how that works out... [Poll]
We co-slept the first night home because she wouldn't stay in the Pack N Play, and never again. DD makes waay too much noise and spends all night moving around her crib. We tried once after the power went out and she was scared and she kept popping up. I know other people's kids are different, but I just can't see this ever working for us!

Only when DH wants to get an extra couple hours of sleep on the weekends, then I get DS snuggled against me in a matter of minutes after DH brings him into our bed. Man, DS is a sweat machine.
I voted occasionally but wanted to clarify. For the first 7 months of his life, we coslept every night. DS refused to sleep in his crib and that was the only way any of us was getting any sleep. We'd try the crib and he'd scream bloody murder. We were tired and didn't want to let him CIO, so he always ended up back in our bed. We kept trying to get him used to his crib but it was a big FAIL. Then one night we tried putting him down asleep, and for once he stayed asleep, rather than waking up and screaming bloody murder the second he was out of our arms and into the crib, and he slept for 9 hours that night. Now he STTN (except for a brief period when he was sick and getting up at 4 AM every morning coughing) 9-10 hours most nights, occasionally 7-8 hours. There have only been a night or two in the past month where he's ended up back in our bed.?
Personally, we didn't intend to cosleep. Did because he was having trouble BFing when he was born and that's what the lactation consultant told us needed to be done. It because routine and then DS got used to sleeping on my chest, which became a little harder with a 19 pound 7 month old. But, I will say, even though we got crap from a lot of people who were shocked DS was sleeping in our bed at that age, I did enjoy the cuddle time with him since I work full time.

I am hoping our transition to the crib works. We will see...I am not sure we intended on it either, but for some reason since I am breast-feeding it seemed to work best for us. I love the cuddle time too! It's the best!

We still do. That's the best way for me to get any sleep - especially when DH is working nights.
