Doctors Office FAIL... You may laugh at my expense...

This was too funny not to share with you girls today!!  My doctors office already thinks I am nuts...  Yesterday I was supposed to take in my 24 hour urine jug that I did all day Tuesday.  My doctors office is about 45 mins from our house.  We left at about 1:45 for a 2:40 appointment and got about 20 mins away from the house and realized we forgot my pee... Dh looked at me like I was nuts! HAHA!  So we go back and get it only to finally make it to the doctor and I had done it all wrong.  I was told to only leave a sample of each pee in the jar.  Apparently, I was supposed to put ALL my pee in the jug... So needless to say, I am doing it again today... Lord, only I would have this problem!!

    Lol!  That is kind of funny,  but I'm sorry you went through all that and now have to do it over again!

    Hhaha... I was at my last appt and had to give a urine sample. The nurse gave me the cup and I went in the bathroom. When I was flushing the toilet, I realized I forgot to pee in the cup! I was so embarrased when I came out, especially since they thought I had a UTI and wanted to check my urine!

    Then I had to explain to the doctor why they couldnt check my urine (because I flushed it!). And, I had to have an exam that day and didn't realize it, and I had 2 completely different socks on. It was quite an ackward appt.

    Definitely funny :) If I weren't a nurse I probably would have made the same kind of mistakes! The tech gave me supplies to do my 4th one this week and she handed me ONE jug and a bunch of tiny cups (instead of a "hat" to place in the toilet). I looked at her and said um...one is definitely not going to be enough and there is no way I'm going to be peeing in those little cups all day! Seriously...I drink like 14 glasses of water a day and pee way more than that!! And the last three times I've done this I've always used more than one big jug. Sort of embarrassing but at the same time it's so annoying in the first place, they should at least provide you with proper supplies and directions!

    That is funny... the gross part is having to keep the pee in the fridge... did you all have to do that??

    I keep trying to get DH to do the urine sample (at my checkups) for me --- LOL!!!  Just to keep the nurse on her toes.Big Smile
