We just found out that we're having a boy!!! We were all set on a girl's name, but we still have to nail down a boys name!?
DH and I both really like the name Gray for our son. ?We are wavering between William Gray (William after his Dad) or Grayer Andrew (Andrew is DH's mn).
We like the name Gray because we like uncommon names, and its a name that we think is fitting for both a little boy and a man. ??
Which combination do you prefer? ?
Re: Gray
william gray.
i don't get grayer. it's an adjective. it sounds negative.
grayson would be better, imo.
I love Gray as a NN for a boy, but I think if it's the first name, it should be the short form of something else. Grayer is ok, I prefer (love!) Graham.
Out of your two names, I prefer William Gray. But Graham Andrew would be my top choice.
And congrats on the boy!
I love William Gray.
I vote for William Gray since most people won't know or say his middle name. Gray is just a color to me, and not one that makes me all cheerful and happy either! Grayer is worse.
Somehow William Gray sounds fine though because I love William and with Gray as a middle name, it really sounds like you used a last name (family name) as the middle name.

I knew someone named Graydon. I prefer it to Grayer for a first name and the nn can still be Gray.
Ditto.
I love William Gray -- its the name of my college boyfriend!
I think William Gray is great. Although, I prefer the spelling with an 'e' (Grey).
