100% switched to milk and DD is hungry- anyone else

My DD is not a big eater, never has been.  We are 100% switched to milk and she is waking around 4 or 5 am, she is going back to sleep but only until about 6 and is super ready to eat right at 6 am.  This is unusual for her, morning bottle was not until 7am typically.

Anyone else find this?  Any suggestions?

Yep, same with us.  I think it's normal.  I don't know if whole milk is as "filling" as formula, and I think it's natural at this stage for babies to want more than milk.  I say try more food.  It's helping with us.  She's taking less milk now that we've upped her food.

  • Same here. He wakes in the night once now to get another bottle. He used to STTN and never woke. Ever since all milk, he is extra hungry. As pp said?feed them more food. I now feed him a larger dinner. It does help!

  • Maybe you should feed her more throughout the day aside from the 3 meals/day. That's what i do with DS. I give him plenty of snacks in between meal except for dinner because he won't eat his dinner if he had snacks before. So during dinner time i tried to feed him more and sometimes milk before bed. He STTN till 6.30am and i usually feed him by 7am except on the weekends, he eats around 8am.
