We are thinking of Eamon Thomas (among many others). I am curious how people will pronounce it when they only see it written down. BTW what do you think of the name?
i've heard it pronounced ay-mun and have seen it spelled this way and also aemon. i have a bad association with it but it's an ok name. i think of a middle eastern guy when i hear this name.

Thanks for all the answers. We have tons of names we are sifting through. I hear a lot of Irish names since I liven ear Boston. The middle eastern association made me laugh.
Re: How do you pronounce Eamon?
Someone on this board has a son with that name. I'm not sure how to say it...I would think A-mon?
I don't love it, but it's okay. Definitely different. ?
I would pronounce it "AY-mon" (long 'a' sound, as in 'day').
I like it, I think it's a very handsome name.
Me too, Eee-mon
Me too!
Same here. I'm not a fan of this name, even if it is actually pronounced Ay-mon
I live in Dublin, Ireland and this name is quite common.?
It's pronounced A-mun (A like day)
Eh, don't love it, don't hate it.
I'd pronounce it like Damon without the D.
