So I'll make this quick since I started to write it last night and was cut off by a poopy diaper
Saturday night my parents, Mike and I went to Maggianos around 8 for dinner since my parents had just drove into town. Dinner was great and I even joked that since we ate so much, I hope I don't go into labor tonight. Of course, didn't think that would happen since the dr had said no progress at all 4 days earlier!
So we get home around 10:30 and I noticed my MP. Didn't think much of it and went to bed. Around 1:30am on Sunday (4/26) I woke up with what I thought was just bad cramps due to eatting too much. Well after several bowel movements (sorry if tmi), I was getting contractions 3-4 minutes apart and they were lasting like 50 seconds. I called Wilford Hall and they were like time them and call us back in an hour because this if your first so you might be jumping the gun.
Well by 3:30 DH was like lets go. Got a shower, attempted to do my hair and we were out the door. Got to the hospital around 4 and I was already 4 cm dialated.
By 6am I was 6 cm dialated and they moved me to a labor room and gave me an epi (which was awesome!).
I literally relaxed the rest of the day thanks to the epi and was able to sleep and watch tv (unfortunaly for me the NFL draft was on!). I was 10 cm by this point so the chief on call had me start pushing. 1hr and 20 minutes later we had her! oh btw, the celtics game was on during my pushing and yes, dh was watching it between pushes!!
8lbs and 9 oz and 21 inches long born at 2:50pm on 4/26. She was 38 w and 6 days!
After labor was a little rough for me and I was so swollen they made me keep a cathader in for 2 days, but she has been great.
She's crying so I have to go, but here's so pics Beth took of her yesterday. I love them!
