Where to buy diaper bags?

What sites are good for diaper bag shopping? I checked BRU, Overstock, Etsy and Albee Baby. I'm looking for a messenger style bag, a larger day-trip sized one. Nothing is striking me!

Re: Where to buy diaper bags?

  • Target.com (not necessarily in the stores) actually has a great selection, including SkipHops, and lots of others.. GL!

  • I have this large messenger bag from BRU.  I never use it.  I also have the smaller matching bag and it's all I've used since Eli was born.

I recently got a new bag from Etsy.  I actually use it as a purse, and it's big enough to put a few diapers and other necessities in for short outings.  But for all day outings I still use the small Carter's bag.  The seller is inspiredbyjenna.

I actually have the smaller one, and it seems to work except I don't have room for a changing pad. What type of changing pad do you carry?

I'm going to check out that Etsy seller - it's so hard to navigate that site!

  • I have a Vera Bradley.  I know they're kinda pricey but I was pretty particular in what I wanted in a bag and this was the only place I could find what I wanted.
  • Look at the Diaper Dude diaper bags.  We gave one to a friend as a gift for her diaper shower and I am SUPER jealous of her now.  I loved it.

For a changing pad we do one of two things.  If I'm changing him in the car (which I do most of the time) I just use a receiving blanket.  But I do also keep a few disposable changing pads in the front pocket.  I've just never used changing pads really, I've never ever used the one that came in the large messenger bag.  I do have room for a receiving blanket in the small bag, but I also keep one in the car too.

Etsy is really hard to navigate for me too.  Definitely check her out though.  I had my bag custom made and she was great to work with.  You can also check out doodlescootdesigns (I think that's right).  jenn&tim got a really cute bag made from her.

  • I have a Petunia Picklebottom bag and it came with a changing pad and a wipes container. I love mine! They are a bit pricey but they have a lot of styles and are good quality. Happy shopping!
