One of my best friends and IRL IVF buddy has just been admitted to the hospital--she started bleeding heavily this afternoon. She's about 25 weeks pregnant with twin boys. I'm so scared for her...they waited four years for these babies. If you have any thoughts and prayers to spare please send them her way...her name is Brandi.

Anyone know what might cause heavy bleeding at that stage of pregnancy? No word from her yet on an ultrasound, although she did say they checked the boys' heartbeat on doppler and they were strong.

that is scary.

i have heard that bleeding is more common in twin pg's. I know some of the girls on the multiples board have dealt with it.

prayers that she can keep on cooking the babies!

Good thoughts to your friend! My guess is a placenta issue that far along? Hopefully she will just need bedrest, if she's not already on it!
