Blaine, Champlin and CR are all having big sales coming up. A lot of them are posted on Craig's List. The CR one in the Oaks is supposed to be really good!
I would try the outlying suburbs - more young families and newer developments. ?Seems like all the sales around here (St Michael area) are ALL kids stuff...which is great but I prefer variety so I like going to the 1st ring suburbs instead
I have a theory on this. I live in Mpls and I often will try and venture out to Eden Prairie or Minnetonka to find sales. I find the best sales are in right here in Mpls. My theory is this: the houses are typically smaller and so people's stuff is more thoughtful. For example, your kids have fewer toys because you have less room, but maybe they are nicer or better quality toys. Anyway, it's just a theory- there obviously some crap areas of Mpls with crap garage sales. I just try to hit the Linden Hills/Edina/50th France/St.Louis Park-Browndale areas.
our neighborhood has sales next weekend-buy we are near taylors falls so way out-but i tell ya everyone has kids!!! and everyone has nice stuff
another sale i like to hit in the north metro sticks area is at fairview lakes wyoming-they have a baby bonanza sale twice a year. this sucker rocks. the spring one is the saturday of memorial day weekend. they have the sale in their atrium area. it is like only 3 hours long 9-12, but get there at 8:30 cuz people are already shopping. this is my go to sale for kids ages 0-7 toys, cribs, changing tables, clothing, strollers everything! (i've been to it three or four times and always walk out with deals and good stuff).
