What do you put your compost in?

DH said he'd set up some sort of compost pile for Mother's Day for me. Do you use a compost container of some sort, if so which one? I saw a tumbler at Costco, but they were out when I checked again. Or did you make your own, if so how? DH found directions to make one out of pallets and he can get them for free at work, but we are sure of how "nice" it will look in our backyard.?

If we get a container we are thinking about getting this one. Sorry I can't make it clicky :(?http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11332894&whse=BC&topnav=&browse=&lang=en-US&s=1?

  • We use an old rubbermaid trashcan with holes drilled in it for drainage. It works great!?

  • DH is currently making one out of a 55 gallon drum (from work) and he's making some sort of stand for it and it will have spikes(?) in it to help with agitation.  It's probably way more complex than need me, but he loves projects.  I'll PIP when it's done this weekend.
