it irritates me to no end that the organic produce at the cheap grocery store is all mega-packaged. As in three apples on a styrofoam tray wrapped in plastic.
So instead of buying produce there, I usually make a special trip to town to the Earthfare, which has a great selection, marks where the produce comes from, and i can use my produce bags...

Yes, apples are on the dirty dozen list. It freaked me out since hubby eats so many of 'em....
I never really liked apples. However, when we got some from the CSA I found that they were the sweetest and I LOVE them. PPH them! So I don't know if it is the variety of the apple, or the organic factor, but the taste is incredible and I now am a fan of apples!
