Trying to Get Pregnant

Coconut Water

So DH drinks coconut water because of the nutrional benefits (he runs a lot)and he likes the taste. Well he came home a couple of weeks ago and said that he read it is also good for male fertility, I guess it increases semen flow or something and can be an aphrodisiac. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this?

  • Coconut water is amazing. It's nature's gatorade, and has more potassium than a banana. We buy it by the case on Amazon. Never heard of it linking to male fertility - interesting

  • Try it straight from the coconut if you can (you'll need to look for "young" or "Thai" white coconuts.) It's the best! And you don't lose the vital living enzymes that are killed during pasteurization.

Wow! I didn't know all that! I'm a vata ayurvedic type, and I am so stocking up on Thai coconuts to balance me, and to share with DH!

  • It's probably due to its high mineral content.  I'll put it in the "can't hurt, might help" category along with pineapple.

    Hmm...now I want a pina colada!
