DS is still quite a while away from needing the house childproofed, but we're going to have a 1-yr-old visiting us in a few weeks, and I thought we should at least get some cabinet locks & stair gates. I would appreciate recs for what has or hasn't worked for you!
-Any preferences on cabinet locks? We don't have many low cabinets, and all the doors & drawers in our bathroom (although not the guest/child bathroom, which is strange) already have the permanent adhesive latches installed (like this). They are okay but I'm not averse to getting another kind if they work better.
- Outlet cover suggestions? I've been in some houses where you practically have to break a nail to unwedge one, which is good to keep out the babies, but kind of a PITA for outlets that would regularly be used by adults.
-Baby gate preferences? We have a split level house, so there are 2 stairways...will we need gates at the top & bottom of each?
I know BRU sells some of this stuff, but would Lowe's/Home Depot be a cheaper place to look for outlet covers & cabinet locks?
Thanks!
