1st birthday ideas... WDYT?

I'm not really feeling up to working today so I'm trying to start planning Nathan's party. I really like the sesame street babies decorations and DS loves Elmo:

Now I can't decide if I want to make his cake myself or order it from a bakery. I found a really cute Elmo cake pan - https://www.wilton.com/shapedpan/Elmo-Face-Cake-Pan

But I am not a very good cook so I am leaning toward ordering the cake. Do you think it would be hard to pull off that elmo face cake?

    I think ordering a cake is the best way to keep your stress down.  Preparing for a party with a little one, you'll have so much to do - why throw in decorating a cake yourself when you don't really have experienced with cakes?  If you have time or the inclination you could always make other stuff for the party that you KNOW will turn out well.

    Personally, I will bake DD's cake myself.   But cake decorating is kinda my thing.  I will buy the other food.
