Having a baby has really made me wish...

That there were more drive-thrus around here. Some days I just want to get a coffee without having to haul DD out of the car seat, schlep inside, order and pay while trying to keep her from tearing the place apart. Starbucks should hire some roller skating barristas to skate out to the parking lot with your coffee.

Yes, I can, but it's a little over a mile away, and some days I need the caffeine for the energy to walk
Also, I feel like the urge for an iced coffee always strikes me when I'm out running errands, but I just can't bring myself to haul her out of the carseat one more time.

Oh yes, I know the Wawa! My parents used to live in Maryland, and they had them. I'm laughing at the idea of driving up to the Wawa and yelling "Hey, could somebody bring me a pack of Peppermint Extra?"

Some of the Starbucks in my hometown (suburbs) have drive-throughs and it's glorious. Our Target has a Starbucks, so it's a 2-for-1 kinda deal.
I'm jealous! Nothing around here has a drive-thru. There isn't enough space for the drive-thru lane. Stella fell asleep in the car the other day, and I drove around just to see if I could find a drive-thru anything.
i wont go to a starbucks unless it has a drive-thru which most of the ones here do. and of course target...yeah they know me by name at that one.
last weekend i finally stooped to the drive-thru pharmacy. i felt a little odd about it since the guy working the window was like 18 and probably thought i was so lazy. but i challange him to a wrestling match with chase and the carseat!
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

Mominator~ I was just going to mention Swiss Farms. But they're more of a DelCo thing, aren't they? We don't have them around me.
City~ I'm in the 'burbs. Where the heck are these drive-thru Starbucks you speak of?
Yeah, pretty much. I think that there are 10 or so in Delco and 1 or 2 in Chester County.
And I don't know where there are any drive-thru Starbucks around my way but I sure wish that there were.?

What a great idea! And what a funny sight it is to imagine moms running out after the ice cream truck, fistfuls of money in hand!
I definitely wish more places had drive thrus, not because I'm lazy, but because I feel bad taking DS out of his car seat when I have 2-3 stops to make.

I have been known to drive through Taco John's for a Dr. Pepper.
For once, I do believe I have something that other people don't have (living in ND, it doesn't happen a lot)drive thru Starbucks and a drive thru liquor store.
My new favorite thing is the drive thru pharmacy. Nothing like being able to pick up a script for a reflux medication without getting out of the car!
I love the drive thru Starbucks near me. I wish Panera had a drive thru because I'm always craving their lemonade.
seans, there are TWO in my hometown (Lansdale!)... One on Welsh Road near 202 and another on 309 near the Montgomery Mall. There's another on Old York Road near Abington Hospital, too..
And re: the dinner truck - our neighborhood has a PIZZA TRUCK! They sell pizza, milkshakes, and fries I think. haha! And we have a huckster (2, actually) that sells fresh fruit and veggies, in addition to the ice cream man.

We have quite a few drive-through Starbucks, in fact I hit one every Wednesday on the way to storytime. Some weeks it's practically the highlight of my week.
But a drive-through grocery, that would be heaven. DD fell asleep in the car yesterday and I really needed a couple things from the store. I kept wishing I could call and have curbside carryout like Applebee's or something.

I love Swiss Farms! I will admit that there are a couple times I've gone out for milk and driven the extra half mile to go to Swiss Farms rather than Wawa just so I don't have to get out of the car, and I'm by myself!
I heard Wawa is experimenting with a Swiss Farm type of drive through.
I also never realized the importance of drive through ATMs, I used to think who these lazy people are who can't get out of their car to walk up to the bank entrance then I realized...oooh these things are cool when baby is in tow.
