Do I really need to order the quilt that matches bedding sets. I heard no one really uses them.

    Do you mean the comforter that usually comes with it?  If so, I say yes.  Simply because once the baby is older, you will use it.  We are using our crib bedding, for the toddler bed too, so he'll need a comforter.

    I'd say no. We bought the bumper, skirt, 2 fitted sheets and the changing pad cover. My mom is making us a couple of coordinating blankets that will be large enough to use as "comforters" once it's a toddler bed, but I didn't think it was necessary to buy the matching one since we wouldn't be using it right away and I wasn't a huge fan. If I'd loved the quilt, I may have bought it and hung it on the wall for the time being, but this wasn't the case.

    Long story short, not necessary -- totally optional.

    i didn't have the option of not ordering when i picked my bedding, knowing that i woudln't be using it, but i just hung a curtain rod on the wall and threw the comforter over it as a wall decoration......
