Success after IF

question from a new mom

Jake has been crabby - whiny/wimpering non stop today since we got back from the doctor.  Nothing much seems to soothe him. He's never been like this before (cranky yes, but non-stop no).

I'm just assuming this is from the shots or maybe he is getting sick?  My friends said I will know when my kid is sick.  I'm thinking this is it?

off to sleep while I can, TIA for any insight.

  • Ditto Davez. I would bet it's the shots. I'm pretty sure my dd took .4ml (half of the dropper) of tylenol after her first shots. I bet he will feel better tomorrow. I hope you get some sleep!

  • Yep -- the shots have done this to your little man.  .4ml of infant Tylenol will do the trick.  They can be cranky for 24 hours after the shots so you may need to give more Tylenol later on (at least 4 hours between doses).

  • It's the shots....shots SUCK!  My DD would only sleep on me and then would scream almost inconsolably in her sleep, when she had her first set of shots.  It'll get better in a day or two.
  • I'd say 75% certainty it's shots.

When Jace had his I had to hold him non-stop for the rest of the day.

Keep in mind that their little legs can be sore and they can't really control how much they move them so every time they move them it upsets them.

?Just give him some tylenol and some extra cuddles!

Should be better in 24 hours or so.?

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • Yep the shots!  Lilah had a bit of a fever with the 2month ones too.  Keep the tylenol coming and cuddle him and let him get some rest.  :)
