Is she too young for drowsy but awake?

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months
I have tried putting her down drowsy but awake and she just ends up screaming. I have tried to let her cry for a few minutes but it doesn't work. I have tried rubbing her back and putting in her paci, but it doesn't work. She just gets so riled up that it takes me 15 minutes to get her calmed down. Should we just try again in a few more weeks? Any tips?

    i won't do any form of CIO  [probably ferberi] until 6ish months. butttt that's just me!

    Never too young, but yes too young for cio. I started day 1 with this baby.

    Me either - some babies just generally fuss more than others and there's nothing you can do about it.  Mine in particular.  She fusses mildly (more of a whine) when she is putting herself to sleep in her crib.  If it gets real loud or high pitched I go in there.  She sleeps for 8-10 hours every night now since we started this routine.
