I am not using them but am interested in learning how it all works (diaper service, cleaning them etc.) If someone wants to give me a cloth diapers for dummies play by play id be much appreciative

It can be overwhelming at first. The trial from Jillian's Drawers is a good starting point.
First you should decide what kind of cloth diaper you like - prefold with cover, fitted with cover, pocket, all-in-one, etc. I like pockets and AIOs personally.
Then you should know that some pockets and AIOs are "one size" meaning they will snap in various formations to fit a baby from 10-35 lbs. This makes CDing somewhat more cost effective.
Anyway, once you decide what kinds of CDs you like, you can try different brands. I also buy gently used diapers from diaperswappers.com. I know it sounds kind of gross at first, but it's not. Also, abbyslane.com has free shipping on all orders.
As for diaper service, most diapers these days you can launder in your own home with gentle detergent (I like Country Save powder detergent). Then dry in your dryer or line dry.
Voila! It's so much fun. Who knew diapering could be fun?!
