Boppy or My Brest Friend?

A friend of mine said that I should use both. The MBF in the beginning, and then the Boppy for later on.

Any thoughts on this? Do I need both?

Funny, I have both, but I wouldn't say you NEED both. I think the boppy has multipurpose use, esp for tummy time and propping baby later on. the BF one doesn't. I ended up using both, but not for long as I had a c/s and regular pillows worked!

I love love love my BF! I use it all of the time. I don't use my boppy as much.

I have both. I definitely recommend the MBF for nursing. I liked it so much more than the Boppy.

The Boppy was great for tummy time and learning to sit up.

If she is offering to let you borrow both, I would. But if I had to choose one I would go with the MBF.

I wouldn't say you needed both either. I used the breast friend earlier and then after (I think I got too lazy to put the cover on after washing it all the time LOL) I stoped using it. I do still use the boppy.?

I really thought the MBF would be my fave but it wasn't. I bought the boppy from a ?friend

I have both - I liked the MBF for feeding and the boppy for tummy time, but I wouldn't really say either is a necessity. I only used the MBF for the first couple of weeks, and now I just use a regular pillow or nothing at all.

Where are you located? I'd be willing to part with mine if you want to meet or pick it up.

I only used the MBF for nursing and the bobby just for putting baby on. The MBF was so so important for me in the beginning - it really helped me get the hang of the nursing thing.

I still use my MBF pillow and Crash is 20 lbs now. I never liked my boppy.

I had the boppy with DD and it was just allright, I had to prop up pillows underneath to be comfortable. I have by brest friend for this time around, I had tested it at the lactation consultants with DD and liked it. Maybe it depends on your torso, I just couldn't get the boppy to reach my chest w/o pillows.

for sure My Brest friend. the boppy was to frumpy and did not give me the kind of support i needed. I think it is b/c the brest friend one is more sturdy?

Although I obviously don't have first hand experience yet, my friend is a lactation consultant and really really recommends the MBF. I also have a couple of girlfriends who got boppys and hated them...

ha ha i needed both!

I got the boppy for free and MBF used. If you are going to get both, maybe try craigslist. I think they are waaay over priced.

I have some exceptional issues with breastfeeding and the MBF has made a huge difference for me. It has cut our feeding times almost in half.
