Great job! It's a tough workout, so don't be surprised if tomorrow you're real sore. I just did workouts 4 and 5 today. I've already noticed results, so I'm really looking forward to the end of the 30 days.

Is it supposed to be every single day, or do I get a couple days off?

I did it once, and not only did I die, but I felt terrible for all the jumping around I did(we are in a 2nd floor apartment). I have stuck to the gym ever since.

lol we have wood floors so I felt like I was being crazy loud but we thankfully have nobody above or below us. I'm having a hard time typing now I thought one was supposed to feel good after exercising. hah.

Mine didn't come with any directions, but I believe from what I've read online is that you're supposed to do Level 1 for 10 days straight, then to Level 2 for 10 days straight, and then Level 3 for 10 days straight.
I'm doing it a little bit differently though. With the exception of your bicep muscles because they heal faster, you're supposed to give at least one day rest between all other muscle workouts. So, I'm rotating my exercises, still doing at least one every day. For example, Monday is Level 1, Tuesday is Level 2, Wednesday is Level 3, then Thursday starts the rotation again at Level 1.
I don't think it would be a problem if you skipped a day between, but sometimes working out leaves you more sore the second day after, so that's something you might want to consider. Also, the best thing for sore muscles is to exercise them, so even going for a walk, or a light jog would be good for them.
I did this before my wedding however when it came down to it I decided I liked going to the gym much better! It does give a good workout though thats for sure!
DH has convinced me to start P90X with him tomorrow! We shall see how that one works out . . . .

Thats what I have to start tomorrow! I have been putting off going back to the gym, but its getting warmer and warmer, and I am not ready to put on a bikini right now!

On a podcast, JM said that doing it every day was fine bc you're working all the muscles but not to exhaustion (well, that's the concept!).
I could never do more than 5 days in a row, but I think it's bc I was also doing cardio for at least 45min and 5 days a week in order to lose weight in ADDITION to 30DS.
When you work out muscles, you're actually tearing them slightly, so when they heal, they heal thicker, causing you to get stronger. So working out the same muscles for consecutive days doesn't allow for the correct amount of time for healing. This is what I was taught by my strength and conditioning coach when I played Division I college field hockey. I looked it up on google once too, and found the same answers.

I agree with you there, but the biceps healing faster, I have never heard that and I went to school for exercise science.
I think it's a great workout. My legs are aching! I haven't done it long enough to see any major improvements but I definitely had an improvement on my form and endurance. I'm hoping for some great results as long as I stick with it!

I also have a love hate relationship with her!
I do the workout every other day, and on the days in between go for a power walk with my dog!
Today is day 6 for me and I can really really see/feel a difference from day 1 in my endurance and recovery time.

Where did you hear this nonsense?
