OB agreed that I may have thrush on my nips....

that is why they've been sore when I BF.  She said to put some Monistat on them.  But she didn't mention if it was ok for DS since I'm BFing.........

I mean, I'm just assuming here.....

    I would put it on immediately after you nurse and make sure you wipe your nips off before you put him back on.

    I've had it, too, but caught it early.  It sucks!  Boil all your pump parts and wash your bras thoroughly as well.

    Thanks!  How'd you treat your LO?  Or did they not get it? I'm pretty sure DS has it b/c I see a white patch in the same place on his tongue every day.  Which makes me think it isn't milk.

    I heard that BF babies can get "white" tongues as a side effect of BFing. Maybe this is what your baby has? I heard that thrush is more obvious on the gums.

    DS and I both just got over thrush, he was on Nystatin oral liquid and then I would apply the same liquid to my nips after nursing. It took 2 wks for it to go away. Its awful, GL!
