My friends DH posted a few pictures of their new little (27 week) boy. He is so tiny and skinny. I cannot wait to have my outside baby, but I want her to be full term and healthy. They can only put their hands in the isolet (sp?) to touch him.

That is sad

A high school classmate of mine is in her 2nd pregnancy & her baby boy has a heart defect & has to be operated on immediately after he's born. they then have to leave his chest cavity open for a week in case his heart swells. as you can imagine this is tough news to have while still pregnant & then they can't even hold him after he's born. I'm praying for them.

Just premature. She was hit by a drunk driver and was in the hospital for about a year. I'm not certain about this, but I'm going to guess since they couldn't find any other reason for why she went into labor, it's because he body couldn't take a fullterm pregnancy after the crash.

Aw, that is hard, my heart really goes out to them! I hope he continues to improve and get stronger!

Oh that is sooooo hard! Have a nice firm chat with Little Bean and then take a huge deep breath! Sometimes despite your best efforts you just can't carry a baby to term. They are so lucky that he is at least 27 weeks old. He has a long road ahead of him but given that he's past the 22 week mark he has a fighting chance. Send them some love and prayers and just keep doing what your doing! You are growing Little Bean as best you can and that's all you can do my dear! I know that everything is going to be fine!!!

It is sad to see. I was born at 25 weeks, weighing 1lb 4oz and 11 inches long. The pictures I have seen of myself are heartwrenching! I can only imagine how my parents felt
