Anniversary trip ideas needed please

My anniversary is in Feb, 5 years, so DH and I have decided to plan a trip without the girls for sometime in late Jan through early March of 2010. We have free tickets to anywhere that Delta flies and will have around $600-$800 dollars to spend on room/food, etc. We want someplace warm (live in MN and want to get out of the cold). We will go for 4 days to a week depending on how far away from home we end up. We are open to a cruise as we did that on our honeymoon and loved it but are open to looking at other places. Can you recommend some places - pros, cons and all that fun stuff. We don't want to be in a city, more beach, nature or a cruise is more of our thing for this trip. This will be the 1st time that we are away from the girls for more than 1 night. Thanks for your recomendations.

  • Charleston, SC is gorgeous.  It is a city, but not huge, and it has great beaches.  The history is amazing and the people are great.  We lived there for 4 years and loved it.  (Military took us elsewhere)  It's also not far from the mountains of NC, where you can hike, white water raft, etc.

  • Speaking of Charleston, which is really nice, their sister city is Savannah, GA.  It is a smaller city that you can pretty much walk anywhere you want to go. It also has the history and beach like Charleston, plus you can eat at Paula Deen's restaurant and visit a light house.  They also don't have strict alcohol laws so you can get a to go cup for your alcoholic beverage as you bar hop!

  • if you have free tickets I would go to hawaii.  you can spend 4 nights there for that money and it is SOOO worth it!!!
