How many ounces should an 8 week old be consuming in 24-hrs?

    enfamil.com should have a chart that tells you how much babies of certain age should drink on average. hth.

    Mine was finishing 2-21/2 oz if I remember correctly.

    Mine will vary from 4oz per feeding to 6oz per feeding.  He's a beast.

    ETA:  He is feeding anywhere from every 2 - 4 hours.  At night he goes longer.

    I think the rule is that they should be eating 2-2.5 times their weight.

    My DS eats both pumped breastmilk and formula, and takes 4-5 oz per bottle.  He takes 7 bottles in a 24 hour period, but he's a big guy weighing in at 14 lbs 2 oz at his 2 month appt.  Our pedi said what we're feeding him is completely fine, and we don't need to scale it down despite him being in the 95 percentile.

    multiply your lo's weight in kg by 6 and thats what they need in a 24 hr period---and you can do the conversion from kg to lbs online!! my 8lb 6oz dd needs 22oz/day...
