We are moving from our apartment to a duplex...thank the Lord! We have several people coming to help us move on Saturday. I am taking off Friday to pack everything because I have no time in the evenings. Anyway, I lived at home until DH and I got married and when we had our apartment we just took stuff over after each shower. Then, most of the stuff from my room didn't come to our apartment (furniture wise). So this is really my first move. Any advice, tips, things to remember???
TIA
Re: Any tips/advice on moving?
Ohh I like this post. I am moving in 2 weeks
:::sits back and waits for responses:::
We've moved EVERY summer for the past 4 year. ?I feel like we are pro's. ?My advice is to do a little bit every night STARTING NOW! ?You're never gonna pack everything in one day. ?Do your best to stay organized and put items in boxes. ?Then make sure to label the boxes. ?This is especially important if you have fragile items in the box. ?
Then enlist as many friends and family to help you out during the big day. ?We've moved by ourself a bunch of times and it's just not fun. ?
?My biggest advice of all is if you can split up the move into 2 or more days, it takes the stress off. ?Our last move, we got everything out of our old place on day one, and then went back and cleaned up the place and handed in the keys on day 2. ?
Best of luck!?
