When did you stop progesterone?

I have a week and a 1/2 left of the supply I got at the start of the cycle. So that will bring me roughly to 6.5 weeks. Is that normally when you stopped it or are they going to make me get a refill?

I have to call the nurse obviously, but I am assuming since they gave me 6 boxes it is because I would not need anymore after that. I just hope I am not wrong - I hate spending money on meds!! lol

I took it til 12 weeks And it was terrible...made me feel rotten!

But i was on it because i had one ovary removed during my pregnancy and my dr wanted to make sure i was getting enough.

12 weeks with DS's PG and I will stop next week at 12 weeks as well with this PG........

I *think* a lot of doctors have you use it past the 6 week mark (like until at least 8w.....), but if you haven't really had any prog. issues, then you are probably fine.

My prog. has always been on the "low" end of normal and I've had two m/c's......

I stopped mine at 5 weeks my P-4 level was high enough that my RE felt it was not necessary for me to continue.

That being said talk to your RE because each patient is different he will have better insight based on your bloodwork.

I took mine until 15 weeks (mostly because I forgot to ask the doctor at my 12 week appt whether I could stop). When I told her at 15w I was still taking it she was shocked saying after 12 it was unecessary. Still with low prog issues and two previous losses it makes me nervous to quit cold turkey. So I am not taking it every other night to ease myself off!!
