Trying to Get Pregnant

~~AmyfromKY~~

Was it you that made the roast in the crock pot with italian seasoning?  If so, what did you do again?  I'm going to put a roast in the pot at lunchtime and was considering do it this way for something different.  TIA!

  • I just put the roast in the crockpot and sprinkled italian dressing mix (powder) over the meat.  I put it on low let it go.  The meat will make all the juice you need.  It took mine about 5-6 hours on low.  When it's still in the crockpot I just take 2 forks and shred the meat and let it sit for like 30 minutes in the crockpot (on warm setting) so the juice can get into all of the meat.

  • AmyfromKY -

I'm not a chef (I can cook with a recipe, but that's about it) so this may be asking a stupid question that's assumed BUT

you didn't add water?  And everything worked out okay?  I'm assuming because you had it on low

Correct.  No water added at all.  MIL gave me the recipie and I thought it was going to be a big hunk of dry meat, but it wasn't.  It was so juicy and I could shred it by just pulling it gently apart with 2 forks.

I was wondering about the water too.  Thank you for verifying the recipe for us all again.  I might have to cook mine on high because my roast might still be a little frozen.  Thank You!
