Of this photographer? I'm looking to get some b-day photos of DD. I'm undecided at this point because his work looks good, yes, but not like shockingly good. His price on the other hand, is shockingly good!

    There are a few really great shots IMO; but for the most part, average work - like you said, good but not shockingly good.  If the price is right, I would say go for it!

    I'd put an ad on craigslist and see if you find anyone else. You might find a student for just as cheap who might be more talented. Or someone just looking to start a business who needs shots for their portfolio. If you don't get any good leads then go with this guy. His work is ok. Not great.
