I can't stand it when people use this statement, it is right up there with "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" It justifies nothing!!! Argh!!!

I'm with you. I've been hearing the "blood is thicker..." my whole life and it always drove me nuts.

I agree. The phrase that bothers me too is, welcome to the real world. Its like they have no sympathy for what you are going through. I hate those kind of sayings.
