I'M GRAPE JELLY- ALWAYS AROUND & ALWAYS THE SAME
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant
My favorite verse!
Its scary. Some people don't seem to think anything of it, but what really concerns me is things like that. I'm more afraid for my kids than myself. People die from regular flu every year and kids are at higher risk.
This scared the crap out of me at first because a friend posted on FB that her DD was in the hospital with the flu. She said she tested negative for Swine but that they basically quarantined her when they got to the hospital and were told her symptoms. I had a freak moment when I heard this but then it registered that friends DD is older then DS so it couldn't be her. However, this is just as equally sad. I can't even begin to imagine.
it still does not make me worry any more about the swine flu than the regular old influenza we get vaccinated for every year. last flu season (winter '07-08) 83 children died with confirmed cases of the flu. cdc report
I saw where the child was from Mexico and they came to the US for treatment.
Nearly a week after the threat emerged in Mexico, where up to 159 people have died, a U.S. official said on Wednesday a 23-month-old had died in the state bordering Mexico. A health official said the baby was Mexican and was in the United States for medical treatment.
The baby came from Mexico to Brownsville and then died in the hospital in Houston on Monday. ?I live in a border town close to Brownsville and no one seems to be freaking out down here which I don't understand. It seems the only people that are really worried are the nonlocal people. ??
?I'm ready to pack my stuff and move back to VA until this is over with. ?LOL!?
