I am sick of hearing about you.  I know that you have affected maybe 20 people in the USA and that you are very dangerous, but you are ruining my morning. I dont want to hear about you while i wait for the weather forcast.

I aint scared flu!  So just go away

    It's been a few years since a catastrophic disease swept the nation so the media is hoping this is the one.

    Ugh, I have to change the channel everytimg they start talking about it because it drives me crazy.  Can you imagine the influx of people in doctors offices thinking they *may* have swine flu.  It's crazy what your mind can trick you into thinking.  I feel so sorry for those doctors and their staff right now.

    I work in a Dr.s office, and we're working on protocol for dealing with this stuff. I'm not even close to panic mode just yet, but since we've had rumors of a confirmed case in the next county over (western NY) and we have a lot of migrant workers in our county and the surrounding counties, we're trying to be prepared.

    So, I'm washing my hands more than usual, being the mask nazi for any respiratory patients, and we're redirecting any high-risk patients to our local Health Dept (should we get any that is Wink)

    My advice? Don't panic, don't pay attention to the media unless it's a gov't/state/CDC press conference, and Wash. Your. Hands. Big Smile

    The media is annoying.  Hopefully Obama's 100 days today with bury this flu.  Sadly, I heard of one death being reported from it today in Texas...a 23 month old died from it.  That said something like 36.000 Americans die each year from the flu.  Still, very sad.
