Trying to Get Pregnant

Who wants to play guess the rash?

Since Monday I had a small rash on the back (not palm) of my right hand.  There is one big red splotch and 5 smaller ones clustered together.  It doesn't bother me although last night it was itchy.

I'm guessing it's just a random case of me having sensitive skin, but any ideas?

I know you nurses are bored :)

  • Hmm.  I don't know much about derm issues...not something we see too much in our patient population!  Sensitive skin or allergic reaction to something maybe?

  • I'll play! Do you have a history of eczema? If so, your pregnancy may have triggered a flare up.

  • I had a teeny tiny bit of excema on my eyelid once years ago.  It was so small the nurse just gave me two mini samples and I never even got through them.

I might just search out the hydrocortizone cream when I get home, that should be ok, right?

  • I would think so.

  • Thanks! I used to break out into hives every 2 years or so for no apparent reason, I've just got wacky skin I think.

That and a bizarre immune system.  I got 5th disease when I was 27, talk about random.
