Yesterday I was having severe pain in the ovary/appendix area, which radiated down the front, around the back and down the backs of my thighs. I could barely sit down it hurt so bad!
While at the ER, as a diagnostic tool to see WTF was wrong with me, they did a CAT scan. They had to inject iodine contrast dye via IV to get a good look. Turns out, I am very, very allergic to contrast dye. My throat closed up, tongue swelled, and my whole body was itchy. It was absolutely horrifying.
And, to top it all off, they still don't know what was wrong, exactly. All they could see were swollen lymph nodes around my lower intestines, which doesn't explain the pain at all!
