Newbie with a heart defect

Hi everyone.  My name is Christine and I'm from Maine.  It's a shot in the dark but I was just wondering if anyone one this board has a congential heart defect or heart problem?  I was born with TGA (transposition of the great arteries) and DH and I are trying to decide whether or not to TTC.  We've heard from Dr's etc that it can be risky and I wonder if anyone else out there has taken that chance and what your experience has been?  Thanks!

    Hi there, I lurk here, and am still considereing TTC.  I would recomend heading over to www.achaheart.org and asking on their message board.  I have PA but there are  a lot of people over there with TGA and they could guide you in the right direction.  Hope this helps.  Always nice to meet another ACHDer.
