WWYD: Sell to Consignment or List on CraigsList?

I have an older PNP, a baby bathtub, an older exersaucer and a like-new Graco swing that we want to sell to make room for our baby stuff. All this was stuff that was handed down to us that we've decided we'd rather buy new.?

Do you think I would get more selling to Kid to Kid or listing on CraigsList??

And for those of you who have sold items to K2K or another consignment store, is this process pretty easy???

Re: WWYD: Sell to Consignment or List on CraigsList?

  • Definitely by selling on craigslist. I brought a lot of baby equipment {almost brand new condition} to Once upon a child and they offered me hardly anything for the stuff. I took it with me and said no thank you! I would try to sell it on Craigslist.

  • I agree. If you had a ton of clothes or something to sell at once then it would probably be less hassle to just sell to the consignment store, but you will definitely get more money on Craigslist, especially for the big ticket items.

  • I agree with PP; sell it on Craigslist. From working at Rock-a-Bye Baby, I'm pretty sure that if  it's older stuff, they either wouldn't buy it (mostly because of the new lead laws and being more selective) or you won't get much for it. I think you can get more on CL, in general, because no one else is taking a cut.
