Ob appt was a bore!

So I was all nervous and freaking out about what would happen at my first ob appt this morning, and it was such a bore! I was really nervous about an ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat and finding out something terrible - but alas, there was so u/s machine in my ob's office! They don't even do them there!!! Who knew???? So my appt. consisted of a pap and breast exam, an internal exam where he felt that my uterus was "softening" and then a bunch of chit-chat about how my pregnancy is just on "auto-pilot" now and I just have to let my body do what it's automatically going to do, and just chill out. Aye, yi, yi! Can it really be that easy???? 

I did schedule my first u/s (since RE) for 12 weeks though,  it will be May 12th. I can't stand waiting!!!

    Auto-pilot-- that's totally how it feels! I'm sorry the appointment was a bore ... but I'm glad you get another u/s soon.

    My first OB appt is on Friday and I don't think I get an u/s either. Stick out tongue

    After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!

    I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.

    And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!

    I didnt get an u/s at my first OB appt either but I got to hear the babies heartbeats.  Ive seen a machine in there but I get mine done at a high risk office (because of twins) and I will get them every 2 weeks or so which will be nice!

    My first visit was similar, asked if I had questions and gave me general info about being pregnant, what to expect, etc.

    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    It still just floors me that OBs don't always have u/s machines in their offices. A friend of mine asked whether my RE had u/s machines, b/c she always had to go to a different location to get her u/s when she was pregnant! I said "um, I've had about a million u/s..." She seemed surprised that the RE would have them in their office...
