I'm not a fan of CIO and had no intention of Ferberizing, but I'm at my wits end at naptime. I wait for that first yawn or eye rub - a challenge in itself b/c sometimes you just miss it. We have a quick nap routine - diaper change, read a story or two, quick nursing session, down for sleep. But she just cries and cries, even though I know she's exhausted. This is a recent development. She napped just fine up until a month or so ago.
I have to use the Ferber method at naptime b/c if she doesn't nap, she just cries all day long -the only difference is that I'm holding her, rather than her just laying there and crying. I'm following the 'rules' so it's all good, but I hate hate hate hate listening to her cry.
