I am just wondering if this is a long time. My baby loves the avocado and it seems to be treating her well. Can I move on to the next food or should I wait the whole 4 days?
we were pretty lax on that one. we waited maybe 2-3 days. DS has never had any allergic reactions up to this point, so we don't even think about it anymore.
I did wait at the beginning, but I don't anymore. DS eats everything and we have no allergies in our family. I might wait a day or two but that is it. I don't think too much about it.
I have held off on strawberries, citrus, eggs, honey, and nuts though, FWIW.
I never did this with Nathan... but I have done a little more research on food allergies since then and am going to do this with Natalie. If you don't have a history of food allergies in your family it is probably OK.
I am definitely planning following the waiting rules to introduce highly allergenic stuff until later, but I am out of avocado and I have some bananas. I thought I might give it a try instead.
I waited a day or two in the beginning but not so much now. No one in our families have food allergies, and I figure if he has one it will show up within a day.
