Trying to Get Pregnant

::pulls hair out and screams::

I decided that since I'm sick and can't go to work that I would stay behind at my parents house when DH headed back to Cincinnati.  This morning I wake up to "I am not going to school.  I don't care if I fail."  Ah, good morning brother.

He has missed 12 days of school this semester (the limit is 10).  He thinks anytime he feels a little off he shouldn't have to go to school.  Finally, my mom just gave up and told him to go back up to his room and not to bother her.

I am going to start talking to the baby and tell her not to be like her Uncle.  You would think with a month left in your senior year you would do whatever it takes to graduate...but I guess when you're 18 your logical thinking skills are lacking.

Oh and here is my favorite thing.  My mom and I are heading back to my house tomorrow, but we have to wait until she picks him up from school tomorrow because if he drives he usually leaves school to come home and sleep.  Indifferent

    Def not.  He has the responsibility of a 13 year old.

  • Wow...how irresponsible.  I hope he gets his act together!!
  • Sounds like a REALLY bad case of senioritis. ?I actually read that those logic skills you were speaking of, AREN'T fully developed until your early 20s!!! ?(I have a sneaking susp. that this is even later for some guys).

    Well it is, except that he will be a senior again because he has an F in one of his classes and if he isn't there he can't bring it up.  How hard is it to grasp that...seriously.

  • He can always take summer school.  That is one way to learn that you need to be responsible!

  • High school is over rated... I skipped alllllll the time.  But yeah, with such short amount of time left, he should get his act together and graduate!

    I can attest to this- I'm a high school teacher, and teenagers definately don't have the thinking skills to make decisions.  It doesn't help that they are used to instant gratification.  They go for the things that make them feel good right now.  Even the freshmen have senioritis this year!

    Eeeeeek. ?It's so funny b/c the schools have to pull out all the stops to keep seniors in class. ?I forget which colleges required this, but there were some students that had been accepted (they were stanford and ivy leagues I think) pending their 3rd quarter progress reports...No senioritis for them.

    I had block scheduling and my 0 period attendance was a breath taking 30 something absences. ?Of course I was working til midnight some nights, and class was at 650a, and in sports-I was a tired lil' girl. ?

  • Hi Amy!

    I'm sorry I've been MIA! You've been in my thoughts and prayers. I think subconsciously (sp?) decided to take a break from The Bump and GP. It was just added stress that I needed to avoid. Apparently it worked because here were are. A BFP FINALLY!!!

    How are you? How are you feeling? Your bump is ADORABLE! :)
