Trying to Get Pregnant

I've decided to try....

Diet & exercise modification to help with my issues.  I don't have an official PCOS diagnosis (going in for more BW after AF shows), but it won't hurt to make the adjustment either way.  I've read a lot about the role insulin play in PCOS patients & that sometimes diet & exercise can help combat it.  It's worth a shot right?  If nothing else I'll just be healthier for it.  I will be starting clomid this new cycle, but I figure I can use all the help I can get.  I've never been very good about sticking to either one to lose weight, so maybe this will finally get my ass in gear enough to stick with it.

  • That's what I'm thinking too.  I'm not going to take clomid next cycle I'm going to try being on met and continuing my weight loss to see if I can regulate my cycle.  If it works when we start TTC again I hope I won't need the drugs.

Pick up a copy of PCOS and your Fertility by Collette Harris. It's wonderful and the diet modifications are great for both PCOS and non-pcos people.

Hey Moo--did I ever tell you what jump started my period? I did a 30 day raw vegan detox diet and viola! My period arrived and stayed regular (35-45 days) for about six months afterwards.

It was actually easier than any diet I've tried to follow. I felt completely exhausted for about a week, but after that I felt like a frigging champion. By the end of it, I'd hop onto the elliptical for an hour, then be like... OH DH! Wanna go ride bikes! LOL

  • It can't hurt your body to diet and exercise. As long as its all in moderation and you don't go crazy. GL.
